Our Philosophy

We are guided by the principles of the Declaration of Independence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed...."   When it was written, "men" was generic for all people and "Creator" referred to God.

 

The Right of Happiness means the right to enjoy the income from your own labor. We believe in "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures...."   We believe that there is a Right to LIfe, and that no one should be "...deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation...."   We support the First Amendment in all of its aspects; government shall establish no religions and not be hostile to the free exercise of religion.
