Big Stories of 2024: Trump Lives and MSM Dies
The biggest story of 2024 was
President Trump’s political comeback to win the presidency in November. A reluctant media refused to call swing states when The New York Times was already reporting that Trump won them, and they waited nearly until dawn to call the presidential race for him! This should not come as any surprise because the Mainstream Media (MSM) buried the biggest story up to Trump’s election - the assassination attempt on his life on Saturday, July 13th in Butler, PA.
The MSM was shockingly reluctant to report it as an assassination attempt instead calling it an “incident.” MSM then proceeded to simply drop the story. Is there any investigation? And where is the reporting on the second assassination attempt or on Ryan Wesley Routh?
Pundits and critics might disagree as to what are the biggest stories outside of the presidential election, but the death of the MSM should be a
contender for third place. The MSM was already struggling with low
ratings. According to Businesswire, "MSNBC has seen 62% of its A25-54 audience flee the channel with the network delivering only 56,000 in A25-54 and 619,000 in viewers (-54%). CNN has lost over half of its audience in primetime in the A25-54 demo in primetime, averaging 76,000 (-53%) in A25-54 and 403,000 in viewers (-45%).” Their demographics were nothing short of catastrophic. The average age of an MSNBC viewer is 70 years old; a FOX News viewer is 69 years old; and CNN’s average age is 67 years old. No wonder NBC is desperate to sell MSNBC.
Since the election, viewership cratered at MSNBC and CNN because the few
viewers that they had before the election realized that they had been gaslighted and propagandized. It is remarkable that these channels kept their viewers as long as they did. It was obvious to everyone that Joe Biden had dementia and was incapable of being “President,” that Kamila Harris was the worst presidential candidate in American history, that the economy was terrible, and that the border was a disaster.
The MSM can’t come back – they have lost viewers forever. This is especially true for the younger generations who have turned to YouTube and other social media platforms in which to get their news. ■
